Fairfax, VA – February 3, 2009 -Electronic Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS), a leading provider of information technology and systems engineering services to the U.S. Federal Government, announced that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded the company with an Alliant Small Business Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (Alliant SB GWAC) contract. Alliant SB GWAC is a Multiple Award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract.
Alliant Small Business was created to provide a variety of IT solutions and support services to Federal government agencies, including new and emerging technologies that will evolve over the life of the contract. The Government estimates a maximum of $15 billion of services will be procured over the 5-year base period and one 5-year option period via orders issued under the Alliant Small Business multiple award contract.
Responding to the award, ECS President Mr. Roy Kapani stated that "the GSA Alliant SB contract is expected to be one of the most important Government Wide Acquisition Contracts of recent times. Government Agencies that contract through the GSA Alliant SB contract will receive credit towards their Small Business economic contracting goals.
