Sr. IT Consultant (Network)
Description:
Location: TSA, Arlington, VA-The IT Consultant (Network) will perform technical oversight, verification and validation, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems and projects impacting the TSA Network Infrastructure. Oversight will be performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, time line analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Required Skills: Ten (10) years of experience in complete engineering project development from inception to deployment, with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction in tasks of a technical nature. Expert knowledge of and skill in applying network systems design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts and methods sufficient to provide network services that support business requirements. A broad knowledge and understanding of various network technologies including specific knowledge of WAN routing, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP protocols. Experience must include the maintenance and care of these technologies in a large, complex enterprise environment. Candidates must have strong knowledge and experience in a network infrastructure environment; knowledge of and strong experience within enterprise environments, and troubleshoot. CCNA and/or CCIE preferred.
Qualification:
QUALIFICATIONS: US Citizenship; BA/BS degree or higher; Must be able to pass a 2+ month TSA background check, Ten (10) years of experience in complete engineering project development from inception to deployment, with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction in tasks of a technical nature.
